Bok Tower Gardens is a “must see Florida attraction” centrally located between Tampa and Orlando among rolling hills of citrus! Our nearly 50 acres of Olmsted gardens, 20-room Pinewood Estate Mediterranean-style mansion and the 205-foot art deco and neo-Gothic Singing Tower carillon is a place that has fascinated millions of Florida visitors.
Bok Tower Gardens is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization and is supported by tax-exempt gifts, generous contributions and admission revenue. All revenue and Membership support continues Edward W. Bok’s dream of helping to preserve and sustain this gift of beauty for future generations.
A few tips for making the most of your visit to the Gardens:
- Allow plenty of time
A typical visit to Bok Tower Gardens takes about 4 hours. Visitors who wish to take part in additional activities like hiking, photography or geocaching will want to allow more time to fully enjoy their experience.
- Dress comfortably
Wear comfortable walking shoes, apply insect repellent and sunscreen regularly and bring an umbrella.

Picnicking at the Gardens
We recommend visitors picnic in the designated areas located around the parking lot, but picnic blankets and baskets are welcome anywhere on property as long as it doesn’t interfere with other visitors’ enjoyment of the Gardens.
Although pets are not allowed in the Gardens, we love pets and understand that people often travel with them. We have two outdoor pet kennels which are approximately 2.5’ x 6’ and are enclosed by chain-link fencing that rests on concrete pavers. The pens have a corrugated roof to help protect pets from the sun and rain. They are also situated under a large oak tree that provides some additional filtered shade. Water is available, but owners need to provide a water bowl.
Arrangements to use our pet kennels can be made at the Tower & Garden Gift Shop. A $10 fee is charged for use of the kennel and a lock. Once the lock is returned you will receive a $4.65 refund. If the pet is a cat, bird or very small dog, special arrangements can be made in the Tower & Garden Gift Shop. For further information email firstname.lastname@example.org or call 863.678.1159.
There are designated handicapped parking spaces in the parking area. Shuttle service is available outside the Visitor Center (subject to availability). The incline leading up to the Tower is paved and the majority of pathways are mulched. All buildings on our property are wheelchair accessible except the second floor of Pinewood Estate.
We recommend visitors to bring their own wheelchair or mobility cart to the Gardens, but mobility carts, wheelchairs and strollers are available in the Gift Shop. Our mobility carts are available to rent for $10 per hour, $30 per half day and $60 for a full day. Mobility carts are only available on a first come, first served basis and cannot be reserved in advance.
Service dogs providing assistance for visitors with disabilities are permitted anywhere on property.
Inclement Weather Policy
There are no general admission refunds due to inclement weather. However, the Gardens reserve the right to close for safety during extreme weather conditions. If this occurs, we will refund general admission fees to anyone already inside the Gardens. Individual ticketed events have their own rain policies, and those will be displayed on specific event pages.
